China is a global player
and a leader in Traditional medicine and Herbal medicine
and one of the biggest exporters of Herbal products in
the world. Modern Chinese medical education has recently
undergone 3 distinct periods of development—before,
during, and after the 1966-1976- Cultural
Revolution—driven largely by extra-academic political
forces.
Drastic changes are
occurring in medical education around the world. The
needs of medical care and medical education are
different even from those of several years ago. In order
to cope with these increasing social needs, the
innovation of medical education in China has become an
urgent and important problem.
