Jiangsu University
(JU), with a school-running history of one hundred years and one of the
key universities in China,
was founded on August 28th, 2001 by merging Jiangsu University of Science
and Technology, Zhenjiang
Medical College
and Zhenjiang Teacher’s College. As a comprehensive university featuring
science and engineering and with teaching and research work equally
emphasized, JU is among the top hundred universities in China in
terms of comprehensive school-running ability. At present, there are nine
major disciplines covering engineering, science, medicine, social
science, economics, law, administration, history and education.

About Medical School:
|
|

|
It has two key
programs, four provincial/ministerial key programs, one
provincial/ministerial key laboratory, and one provincial research
institute. It offers twelve doctoral programs, one level-one discipline
specialist doctoral program, thirty one master’s programs and one
level-one discipline specialist master’s program. It has five affiliated hospitals
with 3030 beds in total, among which two AAA hospitals have 1570 beds.
Department of Pre-Clinical Medicine Besides offering the basic courses
for the undergraduate and graduate programs of Clinical Medicine
(including Pediatric Medicine), Preventive Medicine, Nuclear Medicine
Medical Iconography, Pharmacy, Biological Technology, Nursing and
Stomotology, it offers the master’s doctoral and post doctoral programs
of Pre-Engineering, Pre-Fabricated-clinical medicine, Biology and
pharmacology as well as two newly established undergraduate programs of
medical Jurisprudence and Medical Verification. It has the
Pre-Engineering, Pre-Fabricated-clinical medical practice & Teaching
center, twelve teaching and research studios, the post doctoral program
of Pre-Engineering, Pre-Fabricated-clinical medicine, two doctoral
programs, seven master’s program, the ministerial key laboratory of
nuclear medical biological technology, three university research
institutes, namely the Suzhou-Hong Kong joint venture of Suzhou research
Institute of traditional Chinese Drug, the Research institute of Medical
Biological Technology and research Institute of Biochemistry technology
and twenty eight research studios. Department of Clinical Medicine,
Department of Pharmacy, School of
Radiology and Public Health and School of Life Science are also part of the
Medical school. South East Asia
Education Services (SEAES. P) Ltd. in India
is the partner with Jiangsu
University to
develop student exchange programs.
